What: Historic Mill Site
Where: On the London Road (A419)
Then: In 1642, the owner of this cloth mill, Samuel Webb received grants of protection against the plundering of his goods in the Civil war from Prince Maurice and Prince Rupert - showing the importance of Stroud Scarlet cloth to the Royalists. Cloth was produced here on a grand scale until serious fire damage in the 1860s
Now: In 2000 "Bond Worth" (a carpet manufacturers), left the site, having at one time employed over 700 people. The mill is currently unoccupied
