Bow River, Alberta, Canada

Buckskin shirt acquired by Cecil Denny at Bow River, Alberta in 1877 from the Blackfoot chief, Crowfoot.  Stained with ochre and painted with brown stripes, trimmed with glass beads, quill-wrapped hair, fine red tradecloth, fur tassels, feathers and brass bells.  The feathers are coloured with dye from tradecloth.
