How Have They Survived? The Future? Case Studies

Stroud's future looks bright.....

There is a regeneration project for the canal system (see Getting here section), the landmark Hill Paul building (once a clothing factory) has been transformed into luxury apartments, and a new cinema and leisure complex has been built.

With both Homebase at Far Hill, and McDonalds (opened 2003), new investment shows confidence in the town's growth.

With a Town management centre, street cleaning, a "Concordat" agreement between all three council tiers and a rejuvenation plan for Russell Street, you can see major environmental improvements and opportunities for investment. (2003)
